Track client authorizations
J
Jacqueline Wunderlich, BCBA, LBA
Track client authorization hours and which clinical hours are approved, unused, or worked. Preferrably also showing how many are remaining for the month or authorization period.
Like how CentralReach does it-- https://help.centralreach.com/authorization-expired-or-not-valid-for-service-date/

Notifications being sent to practitioner notifying a month prior that authorization is ending in a month and re evaluation is needed would be helpful.

If a report can be managed or have a place to show what is requested in an authorization versus what was approved and how many units of each code are being used. This would help tremendously.

This area only allows for the authorization number and the start and end dates. We need to be able to include the multiple CPT codes that were approved AND the number of units of each code as well.

this is absolutely needed in order for practices to be proactive about obtaining further authorizations!

Tyson Edwards, I'm surprised this request has not received more attention. Authorizations are associated with specific CPT codes, usually with a specific number of visits approved in addition to date ranges. Depending on the payer, I'll get two auth codes for the same timeframe/same client, one for initial evaluation and another code for ongoing treatment, etc. Even though I can enter both codes into IQ/PQ, there is nothing that tells the software which auth code to enter into the 1500 for which CPT service.
A good example of a robust Prior-Authorizations "module" is with TherapyNotes: https://support.therapynotes.com/article/302-prior-authorization-overview

Yes, this would be massive. We need a way to be notified when an authorization is expiring. Please create this feature. Or add to the session tracker feature to include notifications when an Auth end date is approaching.

This would be perfect for us as well. We have to track service authorization hours but there is no real way to do it with this platform that is not cumbersome

Program Manager: this has been implemented.
