I suggested this as well - I can't imagine this would be a difficult thing to do. My younger clients definitely prefer text over email

Idk; I had a patient complaining the other day my EHR sent way too many notifications and they were “overstimulating her,” which I sincerely agreed, there is a point when too many SMS messages was even enough, though, I’ve reduced the amount I send, so I’m not sure if she’s confusing mine with her work SMS messages and others..

Matthew Laird I would say your patient is an outlier though. I have way more people complaining that they can't get text notifications when we send them portal messages so they feel like they have to constantly log in and check to see if we have responded to them. I think people should at least be able to have this as an option.

Sharon R.Agreed. She works as an EHR architect. Trust me; the “design” of IntakeQ is a relief and welcome dodge as I’m usually the target. 🎯 I’m usually “expensive.” We’ve cleared “that” complaint; I think. Onward to prestige text tones! Jk
