The Rx icon in the top banner only drops down a 2/3 screen version of the prescribing page, over whatever page you started on.

It would improve usability if the Rx icon opened a new tab, with a full screen prescribing page like when you click on the “Open ERX in new tab” at the top right of the patient prescriptions page.

For reference, I have a 24” monitor and I have set the view size of each prescription set to show the sig line (3rd of 4 size options):

-The original PRESCRIPTIONS page in the patient chart allows for 4 prescriptions to be visible.

-The Rx icon dropdown allows for 6 prescriptions to be visible.

-The “Open ERX in new tab” opens a new tab that allows for 8 prescriptions to be visible.
