Option to enter insurance effective and end dates in the patient demographics

I’ve noticed an issue where the system allows claims to be submitted under a new policy for visits that occurred before the coverage start date. This has caused claims to be sent in error, which is frustrating for both staff and patients. For example, when a patient transitions from self-pay to insurance, the system automatically generates claims for earlier visits that should not be billed to insurance. While I try my best to catch these, with our growth and frequent changes in patient coverage, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to manage.

To help prevent errors and improve accuracy, it would be very helpful to have:
A safeguard that prevents claims from being filed for visits prior to the insurance's effective date.

Fields to enter both effective and end dates for coverage. Currently, I have to copy this information into the comment section for record-keeping, which is not ideal. Having these fields would also be useful when coverage ends unexpectedly, since we often need to call patients or insurance companies for clarification.
I believe these changes would save time, reduce errors, and improve overall efficiency.
