More Accurate New Message Notifications

Please update the algorithm through which "new message" notifications show up on the platform. It keeps showing that I have a new message when no new messages have come in. It has also been alerting me of a "new message" when I send a message to a client. I'm a solo practitioner with no staff and have adjusted all settings available and this continues to happen; it's very distracting.
