Inventory Management

I would like to add on to this feature even though this is marked completed. Many offices drop ship items that they need the ability to run through the system without it effecting the in office inventory. We cannot even utilize this feature because of this because we drop ship items that we do not have in office. It would be great to have an additional feature to check if it is drop shipped so it will not pull from it and we can run the inventory. It would also help to be able to pull a report for dropship.
Another step would be to have the ability to sell products in office that we have but also have items on that same invoice that we need to order. It would be great to also be able to run another report with all paid items that we need to order.

COGS for admin privileges. V3 would be great to have added a cost of goods sold in the reporting section. or integrate with quick books so that accounting can keep track of COGS with inventory

Hello, we will be looking to add some enhancements to the Products report to help with tax calculations. You will be able to.
- Filter the list by date range
- Filter by product
- View Total Sales for the range
- View Total Tax paid for the sales of that range
- View the Net Sales for the range
- View the total sales, total tax and net sales in the table for each product
Can you please let me know if I am missing any information that might be helpful here?
Also, does anyone have any feedback yet on the feature?
Thanks for your input!

Tyson Edwards: this has been great so far; it'd be nice to be able to put a specific url for each product to reorder (currently putting in item description) and to have difference sections for "item cost" for the practice versus "price" for the patient.

Tyson Edwards Seconded re: including item cost. Is it in the works to add purchase ordering to the inventory module? This would make it much more functional for us. Thanks!
Also re: reporting - filtering/grouping by category would be extremely helpful.

This is available today. Thanks for your patience.

THANK YOU. I have uploaded my initial inventory list.
If you could, please allow us to track inventory USED in addition to SOLD. For example, if I use certain medications, single-use supplies, etc. for a patient, I would like them to come out of inventory (and it would be amazing if it could also tell me the cost of supplies for that patient for my records). Even though I am not putting the items on an INVOICE, it is necessary to track these things.
Thank you, thank you for continuing to expand the functionality of PracticeQ.
Tyson Edwards
Angela Fugate: Yes, we plan to be able to add products to a service so they can be automatically depreciated when they appt is complete but will not be listed on the invoice. This should solve your usage vs sold request?

Tyson Edwards: Yes, thank you so much.

Hello, we have a V1 version of this available TOMORROW.
Below is the current feature set. We will be expanding on this functionality but we wanted to get this out there for those that could use it currently.
- Track inventory counts for your product list
- Get low-product-count email notifications
- Manage product categories to keep things organized
- Track lot number and expiration dates
- Get a 'close-to-expiration date' email notification
- Manage vendors and link to them directly for reorders
- Report on the products sold
- Ability to sell parts of a whole product as individual items. (i.e: You can set up a 1/4 syringe as an individual product that will take away from the total count when sold.)
In the works:
- Adding products to a service so the products would default onto the invoice when a service is booked
- Creating product packages so a group of subproducts can be sold under one SKU
+ more!
Please let us know how this is working for you if this setup is helpful to your practice. If not yet, stay tuned for more updates!

Tyson Edwards: I'm not seeing the inventory managements buttons on the products page. Is this only rolling out to some folks? I've refreshed and restarted but the same product page is there.
Tyson Edwards
Ashley Haden-Peaches: You're right! Looks like there was a deployment mix up. It will be available tomorrow!

Regarding Inventory management, being able to group products in "Product Packages" would be amazing. So you can select the package and automatically add all of the products associated with that package at once. What would make a lot of sense to me would be a "Program" feature where we can add in products and services into one package, and be able to invoice for the entire thing upfront even if we don't have all of the products in stock.
We currently have this feature in our old EHR that we are switching to PracticeQ from. They call it a "Care Package" https://help.mychirotouch.com/Content/Maintenance/Care_Packages.htm
Basically, we sell different tiers of programs in our clinic. Each tier is the exact same each time, with the exact same products and services associated with the program. The client always pay upfront for the program and receive the products and services through the course of their program.

Another question for the group...when would you expect the inventory count go down?
After the invoice has been issued or after the invoice had actually been paid?
F
Felema Neguse
Tyson Edwards: For us it would after the appointment. Which is after the invoice is paid
D
Dr. G
Tyson Edwards: after invoice has been issued
S
Stefany Hunt
Tyson Edwards: We Provide the service, issue the invoice and collect payment, we dont issue the invoice till after the service has been performed, so either way the inventory has been used for the service that invoice has been issued for. So inventory count would be adjusted at that point. But other clinics may do something different

Tyson Edwards: please make this an option. Also, please consider allowing removal and return from inventory without an invoice. E.g for my in office supplies, not necessarily things I am selling. I am currently using odoo.com for this, but it’s way more complicated than necessary. Thanks for working on this.

Jennifer Van Hoose
Tyson Edwards: Issued. Sometimes patients will pay at a later date but for us, the item has already been removed from our physical inventory.
J
Jill O'Brien
Tyson Edwards: we are a cash based PT clinic so for us it doesn’t matter. We issue the invoice and they pay for inventory at the same time.

Tyson Edwards: after issuing the invoice, or have the option to change this

Will this feature include the ability to manage and dispense meds from the office? it would be great if it could print a label with patient demo and Rx sig
