This feature is now available as part of our new Engage offering. Engage brings together patient engagement capabilities designed to support this use case and more.
Note: the ability to blast comms via the Patient Portal is not available, but it can be done via SMS or Email in Engage. There are FCC guidelines that prohibit mass SMS unless it is for targeted, non-marketing related purposes (for example, an office closure when you have an appt scheduled). You can use the Engage email campaign feature to send messages to all patients for marketing purposes.

Tina Koro (IntakeQ) So how do you send a mass message from PracticeQ for office closures? Or when patients need to update their insurance information for the new year? Or other office/care related communications? This integration is not helpful for these care based communications and costs an additional $99 per month minimum. Clearly not necessary for sending a care-based message out to all patients a couple of times per year. What is the solution for this?

We would like the ability to email all clients to let clients know about coming changes:
Insurance changes, forced closure due to weather, etc.
The current limit on 1,000 people at a time is problematic for us.

We need some way to be able to send mass messages to clients for vacations, office closures, and policy changes. This is a vital feature and I am surprised it is not offered. I also send out diet plans to patients and I have to send them as a consent form- so no option to send a standard message to patients is very limiting.

I agree and voted for this (have also posted this request before). There is a work around that HELPS, though it isn't the same: you can mass message through the client portal, if you use that. To send a bulk portal message, you go to "lists --> clients". Then select the check box next to the clients you wish to send a message to (top box selects all), then "bulk actions" and select "send portal message". It doesn't allow any customization (ie you can't use the placeholder [ClientFirstName]) but it does still get a general message across. Hope this helps until a custom/timed email option is created!

I think you mean ones that are not yet signed up for the portal? Like via email or sms? If so, that could be useful.
