Flexible Appointment Type Allocation in Packages
B
Brandon Smith
A more flexible way to allocate appointments within packages.
Currently, when setting up a package (e.g., 8 visits), we must predefine how many of each appointment type (e.g., Follow-Up, Re-Evaluation) can be applied. This is problematic for our workflow because we often don’t know the breakdown of visit types when the package is initially added. One patient might use all 8 visits as Follow-Ups, while another may use 6 Follow-Ups and 2 Re-Evaluations.
To work around this, we currently have to:
Temporarily set Re-Evaluation appointments as Follow-Ups,
Assign the appointment to the package,
Then edit the appointment type afterward.
This workaround is inefficient and prone to error.
Feature Request:
We’d like to request an option to allow any appointment type to be assigned to a package, without requiring specific type allocations up front. The system should simply deduct from the total number of available visits, regardless of type.
This flexibility would significantly streamline our workflow and reduce administrative overhead.

Agree with this! Some sort of way to have the package allow for more flexibility in the type of service(s). I can elaborate but not sure that's worth doing here but it would be helpful to have the ability to edit the service(s) added just so the total amount is adhered to but could be different types of services. Currently we can't go between clinicians or some types of services because the system wants an exact amount of X type.
