It is so frustrating duplicate patients keep getting created. I think this can be reduced by allowing the patient to ONLY login by phone number and not by e-mail. I noticed a duplicate patient was created because the patient used 2 different emails to login. Even if there is typo in the email, then another patient is created. I merge them together and then another one is made! Forms get saved in both profiles and this is getting very frustrating!

Could it be done by SSN instead since it will be unique? We have several family members seen in the clinic and all the kids just use the parents email and phone#.

Brian Baremore phone numbers are unique as well. I feel SS# is too private to use.

Yes! It’s been terrible. Happens a lot with a spouse or parent. I have had this happen 4 times recently. Then my provider gets confused and I have some chart notes in one and one in the other profile. This is a huge hassle and a solution needs to be found asap.

It would be amazing if the requests for this were all combined into one request to see the actual number of times this has been asked for. It’s wild. And constantly an issue.
