We’d like to request a feature that automates Good Faith Estimate (GFE) compliance for self-pay clients in IntakeQ, helping practices stay aligned with the No Surprises Act while minimizing manual admin work.
Feature Proposal:
Automatic Task Creation
If a self-pay client does not have a GFE completed within the last 12 months, IntakeQ should automatically create a task or reminder for staff.
The task should only apply to active (non-archived) clients to prevent clutter.
Ideally, admins could customize the timing (e.g., annual or biannual check) and assign it to specific staff roles.
Quarterly Compliance Audit
IntakeQ should generate a quarterly audit report listing all active self-pay clients without a current GFE on file.
The report could automatically go to designated admins or users with the proper permission level.
It should include:
Client name
Assigned clinician
Date of last GFE
Client status (active/inactive)
GFE Form Enhancement – Auto Calculations
Within the GFE template, it would be extremely helpful if IntakeQ automatically calculated and displayed projected costs for 1, 4, 8, and 12 sessions based on the clinician’s fee.
This would save time, improve accuracy, and align with client expectations for transparent cost information without requiring manual math or multiple document edits.
Why This Matters:
This feature would make it much easier for practices to stay compliant, reduce the risk of oversight, and cut down significantly on manual auditing or spreadsheet tracking. It would also standardize GFE communication across clinicians while improving the client experience with clear, automated cost estimates.
