Ability to Record the Insurance Effective Date for a Clients Plan

Please go vote on the claims/claims creation feature request (really even shouldn't be needed).
There need to be major overhauls to the claims/create claims screen. 1) On the claims screen, you cannot sort by DOS, only by the date the claim is created. I understand that there can sometimes be multiple DOS, but in that case, list the most recent.
Then on the create claims screen, it is SUCH a mess.
2) There needs to be a way to enter effective dates of insurance. I have claims from last year where the client did not have insurance, but there is no way to indicate that those are not billable to insurance.
3) if there is a DOS/service that says "prevent insurance billing," then why include it on the list?

Effective and Termination Dates for Insurance

We need a section where it states Effective date and Termination Date (Active, Inactive check boxes) in the insurance portion of the overview. This will minimize utilization of insurance's that are no longer active, but somehow we still need a records of all insurance history.

YES, if a client is reviewing the information for the next year and updates it - the old billing information is lost :(

Hi Tyson! It would be great to have an effective and term date for insurance. Then, only the insurance or the member ID active during that time can be billed to the corresponding insurance. Some clients have the same insurance, but their member ID may change. Or they go from insurance to cash pay back to insurance. We should be able to continue to edit any information in the termed insurance as well just in case there were errors when entering the insurance initially. We should be able to see a list of previous insurance plans with their effective and end dates. This could be set up in the claim defaults for any previous insurance plans. The active plan could have an area this is added when adding the insurance to the chart.

For the effective date, is that just a field on the profile where you can set this manually? If entered, no claims could be billed to that insurance if before that date.

Tyson Edwards: Hi Tyson, yes a field for the effective dates on the profile near the insurance would be great.

Tyson Edwards Please add an area where we can input the predetermined patient's responsibility estimation as well. And area or toggle button where we can indicate if the provider is in-network or out-of-network with the patient's specific plan.

Ryne Evans Very good point! Thank you for sharing this.

#1 was fixed. We have discussed #3 and we are looking into a way to hide that. Updating this request to only be about the Effective Date.
