Please allow us to OPT-OUT of any app option. While I would like to add SMS notification for patients when we message them on the portal, I Do not want an app since it creates a "I can text my doctor" overuse issue.

Avigail Spetner Overusing the feature can be an issue that's for sure. But we are having issues in communicating with our patients as they do not receive any notifications. Scheduling/rescheduling can be challenging when the patient responds after a week letting us know they are not available or the schedule is no longer available. We just had an issue with medication refill because the patient responded 7 days after we sent in the refills to let us know that we need to send the prescription to a different pharmacy and they were out of medications for days. Instead of streamlining all communication in one platform, we still go back to sending them text messages which is not HIPAA compliant.

Avigail Spetner. Maybe they can have options such as just sending notifications etc. I am used to having text option and have had a great experience. They apologize if text on weekend etc. you can also add “office hours” or replies after hours or ..

Grizelda Anguiano we only need our patients to be notified whenever there is a message coming in. But most of them are requesting for an app. It's more convenient.
Or if there is a way to integrate SpruceHealth into their system. That would be best.
